The Bridge Direct has released the first pictures and opened up preorders of their often rumored deluxe Smaug figure. The famous dragon comes in at a decent 21 inches tall and has a 22 inch wingspan. The figure does not seem to be headed to a retail release as it will be limited to 3000 individually numbered figures. Smaug will be accompanied by a yet to be announced 1 and 1/2 inch figure, along with an unknown accessory. Limited at 3000 figures, the iconic villain from The Hobbit could head for a quick out-of-stock status.
The limited edition figure can be preordered exclusively from WBshop for 69.95 but is only available to US customers.
