LOTRaddict: The Bridge Direct Announces The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug Lineup

The Bridge Direct has revealed their figure lineup for the next movie in a press release. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug figures will be hitting store shelves on October 15th, a few months before the movie's release in December. The reveal did include surprises and left some questions that will have to be answered. Previously, expectations called for a summer to fall release of a second wave for the first movie, with the first wave for movie two hitting after. There is no word when or if that second wave for the first movie will be coming, but some of the figures that were expected to be part of that wave have been announced here for the second movie.

Also in the reveal was the figure for the Elvenking himself, Thranduil, and the shape-shifter Beorn. Although no pictures of either were shown. We also received confirmation of the already rumored San Diego Comic Con exclusive figure for this years event. Here is the press release from The Bridge Direct:
